S&P 500 futures slide as Treasury yields attain recent 16-year highs


U.S. shares fell Thursday for the third straight day, with the primary indexes buying and selling at their lowest ranges in a month, as surging Treasury yields and a stronger U.S. greenback put extra strain on equities.

On Wednesday, the Dow Jones Industrial Common DJIA fell 77 factors, or 0.22%, to 34,441 whereas the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite logged their lowest closing ranges of September.
