World stock markets fall ahead of expected Trump tariffs



Stock markets in Dublin, London, Paris and Frankfurt have fallen ahead of an expected announcement of tariffs by US President Donald Trump on Wednesday.

The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq fell, with technology stocks leading declines.

European shares fell to their lowest close in two months, while the FTSE 100 hit a one-month low.

Taoiseach Micheál Martin said the Government is intensifying its engagement with Washington and companies which will be impacted by the taxes.
